Welcome to Wirral Council’s Local Planning Consultation Portal

Listed within this welcome page are all of the consultation events that are currently available for viewing.

The consultation events can be filtered by selecting a "Topic" from the ‘Show Consultations for:’ box or reached by clicking on the name of the consultation event in the "List View" table in the box below.

You will normally be asked to register or log in before being able to comment on a particular consultation event, in case we need to contact you to discuss your comments further.

Please note that to take full advantage of this web site you will need Internet Explorer 7 or above or an equivalent browser package.

Recent Consultations

The Council consulted on Preferred Options for the Core Strategy, a Wirral Open Space Assessment and a Wirral Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (April 2008) between November 2010 and January 2011.  These consultations are now closed.  You can, however, still view a copy of the consultation documents and the comments received by clicking on the name of the relevant consultation in the "Show Consultations for:" box below.

Current Consultations

The Council's latest Annual Monitoring Report was published for public comment in early January 2012. A separate consultation on the emerging Settlement Area Policies for the Core Strategy will begin on 30 January 2012. The deadline for comments to be received on these consultations will be 5 p.m. on Monday 12 March 2012.

Consultation on a Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for Devonshire Park will begin on 8 February 2012.  The deadline for comments on the Draft Neighbourhood Plan will be 5 p.m. on Friday 23 March 2012.

Consultation on the Council's Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (April 2011) is also expected to begin in February and will be available through this website once the final documents have been approved and loaded.

Any changes in the timetable or additional consultation events will be placed on this website as soon as they become available.
