Consultation Portal

The Council will soon be consulting on the initial findings of an Open Space Assessment for Wirral.

The Open Space Assessment is a Ward based analysis of the existing quantity, quality and accessibility of different types of open space across the Borough.  One of the aims of the Assessment is to set standards for future provision.

The final Assessment will form part of the evidence base for the emerging Local Development Framework, which will replace the Unitary Development Plan adopted in February 2000.  It may also be used to guide decisions on individual planning applications.

A copy of the consultation documents and an accompanying questionnaire will appear on this website during the next couple of weeks.

Paper copies of the consultation documents and the questionnaire will also be made available for public inspection at public libraries and at the public counter of the Technical Services Department at the Cheshire Lines Building, Canning Street, Birkenhead, CH41 1ND during normal opening hours. Additional paper or electronic copies will also be available on request from the address below.

The comments received will form part of a published public report to the Council’s Cabinet following the end of the consultation process.
